Outreach Programs Botball Educational Robotics Program
Botball integrates science, technology, engineering, and math with robotics to expose rural area students to the possibilities surrounding technology. Students work together as a team to research current progress and propose new ideas related to the use of robots in various real-world situations. They follow up with planning, building, programming, and building of robots using Lego © pieces and various servos, motors, and sensors. This program helps students develop inquiry-base learning skills and experience hands-on applications of science, technology, engineering, and math.

For further information contact the educations department at edctr@cablelynx.com or go to the Botball site at www.botball.org.

Sermon From Science

A smaller, but equally impressive 400,000-volt version of the renowned 1.5 million volt conical Tesla Coil is now making its way to schools across Arkansas. Richard and Mary Ellen (Professor Sparky) of Hot Springs Village take their show on the road as a volunteer outreach program. After an electrifying demonstration Professor Sparky shares enlightening insights to inspire, encourage, and challenge young people to discover their God-given gifts, talents, and abilities.

The program offers a concise look into the genius mind of inventor Nikola Tesla – the man who developed alternating current and many other inventions. Reservations can be made at www.sermonfromscience.com.
